1. Watch Free Classic Films at a 107-Year-Old Wooden Cinema

Experience a unique movie night at Sala Chaloem Thani, a historic wooden cinema that is over a century old. Known for its nostalgic atmosphere and curated film programs, the cinema regularly hosts free screenings of classic films.

This special weekend event celebrates films that capture the spirit of youth from different decades.

On Saturday, the Thai classic Wai Onlawon (1976) will be shown. The story follows a young man who fails his university entrance exam and unexpectedly falls in love with his strict landlord’s daughter. The film offers a charming glimpse of teenage life in Bangkok during the 1970s.

On Sunday, audiences can enjoy the famous musical Grease (1978) starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. After the movie, visitors are invited to stay for a swing dance session led by the Sawasdee Swing group.

2. Explore the One Piece Pop-Up Event at ICONSIAM

Anime fans should not miss the One Piece Pop-Up Café and Exhibition at ICONSIAM. This large event transforms part of the mall into a space dedicated to the world-famous anime series.

Visitors can explore displays highlighting more than 25 years of One Piece adventures, including new wanted posters of the Straw Hat crew and recreated scenes from different story arcs.

A fun stamp collection activity is also available. Fans can visit all 10 stations around the exhibition to collect stamps and win exclusive prizes.

The biggest attraction is the five-meter-tall statue of Luffy in Gear 5 form, located in the center of the exhibition hall where is a perfect photo spot for fans.

Opened in 1964, the planetarium has long been a favorite among locals, offering an immersive space to learn about astronomy through rotating space-themed films. Its classic domed theater and nostalgic atmosphere make it a unique escape from the busy city.

Before it temporarily closes, visitors can still enjoy its educational shows and exhibitions—making this a great chance to experience one of Bangkok’s most historic learning spaces in its original form.
